iPhone Email Setup

The following instructions and screenshots are for the iPhone 4, but may work with limited variation on the iPhone 3 as well.

Go to Settings then choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars (see below):

Then Select Other:

Select Add Mail Account:

The example below shows what you may see if you have multiple email addresses you check on your phone.
Select Add Account:

Enter your information:

IMAP OR POP:  ***WE RECOMMEND USING IMAP***  (Choose IMAP ***or*** you may use POP but if you wish to check email on your phone and then later have it download to your computer, you must choose the option to leave mail on the server later in the setup).

Account Information

Incoming Mail Server

Host name is your domain: mail.yourdomain.com (for example, mail.identifex.com)

User name is: youremail@yourdomain.com (yes, use the full email format, for example, someone@identifex.com)

Password:  Enter the password that was assigned to you.

Outgoing Mail Server settings

SMTP: Host name is your domain: mail.yourdomain.com (for example, mail.identifex.com)

Advanced Settings

If you select Advanced, under Outgoing Mail Server

Host name: mail.yourdomain.com

Where it lists username and password and marks them as Optional, you do not need to enter information
Set:  Use SSL > set to ON

REMEMBER: If you selected POP and you want email to download to your computer, on the Advanced tab, in the incoming settings, it says delete from server, you will want to tell it to leave mail on the server.

Finished!
